The Kia K5 is a mid-size sedan that delivers responsive and capable performance wherever you travel. Two different engine options are available. Most trims feature a 1.6L four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Both an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system come standard. All-wheel drive is also available on the GT-Line trim.
For the most thrilling experience, the top of the line GT trim boasts a 2.5L turbocharged engine with 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. Standard all-wheel drive capabilities improve traction and control even in difficult weather conditions and terrain, while an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission delivers a smoother performance. A sport-tuned suspension and high-performance brake calipers also come standard. With all this power and performance, the GT trim can accelerate zero to 60 MPH in only 5.7 seconds.
According to EPA estimates, the standard front-wheel drive Kia K5 has a fuel economy of 27 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, whereas the all-wheel drive models get 25 MPG and 33 MPG, respectively.
